Not afraid to make a stand

Wow - a harsh critique of Echoes. I agree to a certain extent about the length and the time it takes to move into the main portion of the tune - that is why in general I'm not a huge Floyd fan. That's also why I included Keep Talking and Dogs in my top 5 - songs that show some passion.

But what gets me is that you 'dis this tune and include Atom Heart Mother - that's way more boring than Echoes. And Echoes is a powerful tune.

Echoes and Suppers Ready are not comparable - the only similarity is the length. That's a red herring there.

If you like Gilmour tunes better than Waters (as I do) you will probably like Momentary. That's all the issue is there.

Another inconsistency is the placing of POTW (a simple acoustic #) and the somnabulent Learning to Fly as top five.

Top 500 maybe.
