Tiebreaker if needed:
Yanni - Within Attraction
Godspeed YBE - Static
Curlew - Still
Kate Bush - The Jig Of Life

JamForte - 21 points
Rick - 18 points
Moses - 14 points
Yesspaz - 12 points
Keithie - 9 points
Zvinki - 7 points
With only one point left, JamForte is the winner. While we're waiting for Jam to come up with a quiz, here's some clues for the remaining clue and the not needed tiebreaker:

for the Moby Dick clue, I could substitute: Beatles - Back In The USSR, and the answer is the same.

for the tiebreaker, the author is a male from the US, still writing. The first clue contains a word in common with one of his titles; the second clue you may need to look at the album to get the clue pointing to a different tile; and the third and fourth clues each contain one word from a third title.

that should make it fairly easy...

Godspeed's Static is from Life Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, = Skinny Legs and All

Curlew and Kate Bush = Still Life with Woodpecker

Yanni = Another Roadside Attraction

Well, I was thinking the USS from USSR is a reference to the boat, but the boat's name is the Pequod...

No idea.

maybe I can make it more obvious.

Beatles - Dear Prudence
Beatles - Back In The USSR
Beatles - Revolution 9
Beatles - Happiness Is A Warm Gun

all would be the exact same clue. this clue is in reference to Moby Dick, in addition to "DICK" and "WHALE"

oh yeah, before this quiz morphed into a literary exercise, I was thinking Hollywood. So, just for giggles, while we're waiting for Jam, who is suggested by the following grouping of songs?

Jon and Vangelis - Italian Song
Gordon Giltrap - Awakening
Moody Blues - The Actor

Jethro Tull - Songs From The Wood
Ambrosia - Cowboy Star
Castanarc - Journey To The East

Trace - Penny
Steve Adams - Tapped
Poor Genetic Material - Shooting Psycho

As you can see, since I read more than I watch TV/movies, I was able to come up with more interesting questions with books.

exactly! For Hitchcock - the Trace song is from an album titled "Birds", and the Steve Adams is from the album "Vertigo"
