I never saw J-L P, just Joaquin Lievano's band. And I think Alphonso Johnson was the bass player when Joaquin was with J-L P, but I could be wrong. I think Daryl Stuermer put in a spell with J-L P for a while, till joining . . . Genesis? Could that be right?

After playing Joaquin at racquetball we chatted about the world of fusion. He said Larry Coryell was a hopeless drunk. I found that hilarious.

Joaquin now does that space-age pap you hear these days. But he was a brilliant guitarist when I saw him!
