Re: Best Live Albums of All Time
Seeing a lot of shows, I tend to shy away from a lot of live records. But some get a lot of play because of personal rememberances.
Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous Bought this when I was 15, hanging out at a local Korvettes, they were playing it in the store BM (Before Musak!). It's a perfect live record. Speaking of Korvettes, here's an example of "putting lipstick on a pig" (a current events tem): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edn7eI4PEbA Grand Funk - Caught In the Act The first live record is the epitome of hippiness, this one has the keyboards and some spirited versions. Frampton Comes Alive - of course... The Nearfest lives of Izz and Hackett are great. No more jump out into the top group, but I'm sure there are more.
