Decorum, please

I would appreciate it if you have a denigrating comment about an artist's music (or recording process) that I play, please let me know so I may forward that to the artist directly.

The shoutbox is not the place for it. Especially when a bandmate is present. The need to make a joke does not outweigh the respect we should show to hardworking artists.

I routinely invite artists to join our community and it would be really cool if we weren't like all of the other sites.

The comment about the "basement" recording (I forget who said it) wasn't denigrating. It came across as an honest criticism of the sound quality from the listener.
