Not exactly....he does like bands such as Tears for Fears. He dislikes overplayed radio songs (and rightly so).

What's ironic is that I've heard the popular songs by progressive bands many more times than popular songs by non-progressive bands. I cannot listen to Comfortably Numb anymore, no matter how great the song is.

If a band has some played music, bfd. Doesn't make them any different. Either you like them or you don't.

What I like is a band such as this sparks memories of fun times and great music, as your posts have indicated, Bob...keep them coming!
