Re: Moonies Meeting Moonies

I'm waiting for an official declaration of what constitues a Moonie. Seems to me that anyone who has ever posted, chatted, or listened is a Moonie.

So that means you can add at least 100 more vax.....including scores of musicians...and many of us can too.

Hope to meet a lot of the Southern contingent at Progday. There's a lot of us down there.....

I think my Poda pictures are either in a file on the computer or trapped in a camera, that I need to develop the cheap film, but have been waiting on the opportunity to take a picture of the stop sign the cop says I supposedly didn't stop for.

Well, you can stretch the definition all you want. To me, it is a person drawn to Aural Moon because he/she is looking for great music; then, sticks around and becomes a part of the daily community.

If you want to include the musicians we play here, sit back and be prepared to scroll through a long long long list of names; however, I don't believe they constitute "moonie" in the true spirit of our community.

That's doesn't matter to me; I still haven't met dear Mossy.

No, no...agreed there...I mean the musicians who have registered in as listeners. Some of many include Dennis from Iluvatar, Rik and Steve from Little Atlas, etc., and of course John Goodsall, a one-time frequent contributor. Every once in a while they drop by and listen.

Also, there are many who do not contribute daily, or no longer contibute and just listen. J Nighting, Roger (VT), Dinosaur are infrequent yet "charter" Moonies. Stan no longer shouts...Maui Bass Player just re-apperared.

Yorksvc no longer shouts, but he hasn't lost his "Moonie" card yet...

And finally, there are those who have registered and sometimes listen but never shout. Steve Storey, a friend from Progday, is one such person (aka Dangerboy).

Pining for Mossy

I guess what I'm saying is that I like the thread (the pic you have of Museman for instance is priceless) but the lists are getting kind of nebulous.

Re: Moonies Meeting Moonies

Do we have to define what constitutes a Moonie? I think it's worked so far and we all know what we mean don't we? The purpose of the thread is to make lists and attach piccies to go along with the lists. I can list whoever would like to be listed, no prob at all.

Vax, we almost met at the airport that time but that was an ill fated trip on many fronts and nothing went right. Since I never go anywhere these days, I'm hoping there will a gig in Vegas which you absolutely HAVE to go to (because I know you wouldn't set foot otherwise).

I haven't met you either Rick, which we have to fix cuz I 'd like to add you to my list.

IF we were able to swing Baja Prog this year, I was planning on jetting to Las Vagas. More of a drive to Mexicali but I'd getto meet you and see more of the southwest.

FWIW, I was in Las Vagas in '92 (?) for a DECUS convention. I gambled and lost EVERYTHING... all 25˘ in a single slot machine.

Mossy - we still want to get to LV at some point. Lisa hasn't seen the Star Trek Experience so one day, we WILL make it out there!

Nadina
Trust me....I'm not. And you're right.....

There's a Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas? That's weird!
