Re: Show 75 - "Ronnie's Three-Headed Tool"
so, is the Montrose disc in the vein of Open Fire? Open Fire is one of my favorite albums; I spent many an hour on the road with that in the 8-track...
good Tool choice, too! ![]() you could do a Radiohead show sometime...

Ronnie Montrose a few years earlier put out what I feel is one of the finest discs ever, "Open Fire". This CD is less on the blues feel, and more sci-fi. Admittedly not his best work, it's still pretty good. That pretty much sums it up. I only recently re-listened to this disc, it didn't do much for me on the first listen (that was 5 yrs ago lol, I'm a bit behind on listening). maybe I was holding it to the Open Fire standard. This does not have Edgar Winter helping out, and it's Ronnie doing a lot. I'm seeing him live in May for the first time ever, by the way. If I've heard a Radiohead song, I wouldn't know it's them! Not familiar with much of their stuff. Funny how some bands elude me. |
