Re: What CD's Are you Playing RIght Now? Top 5

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! This thread has now reached 500 posts and 1000 views.
I started it as a way to get reviews of new releases. It was also a great way to see our more eclectic tastes. I love seeing what our newer members tastes are and those really old classics still abound in our playlists.

Im listening to Old Stuff this week:The Pop era Most Moonies Hate:

Single Factor

Works
Camera,Camera

And if you dont know the Artists.... YOUR ON THE WRONG PAGE!!!

Unifaun - Unifaun
NoSound - Sol29
Believe - Yesterday is a friend
Brother Ape - III

All excellent albums.
The Unifaun is especially good if you wonder what Genesis would be recording if they were still Genesis and not The Phil Collins Pop Band.

Re: What CD's Are you Playing RIght Now? Top 5

Ahhh, the handiness of i-tunes downloads is great, but adds up quickly! Just downloaded -

Opeth - Damnation - so far I think it's great, looking forward to listening a dozen or so times
Maserati - Language of Cities - listened to it once, and think it was well worth the purchase !
Sieges Even - Paramount - am wearing out my i-pod on it
Frost - Milliontown - very good
Glass Hammer - Culture of Ascent - best of last year
Porcupine Tree - FOABP, Nil Recurring, & We Lost The Skyline (live in-store fanclub freebie)
Future Kings of England - Fate of Old Mother Orvis - great, like old Floyd (but not as weird), a shame it's not on the Moon
First Band From Outer Space - Only Here For The Space Music - much better when the singer is silent, but not bad otherwise

Re: What CD's Are you Playing RIght Now? Top 5

The main one I have been playing of late is

Keith Emerson Band - featuring Marc Bonilla

The first 15 tracks - form one big song that is dramatic, all-encompassing very excellent. Marc Bonilla's voice is unique and his guitar playing really adds to the sound. Some excellent keyboard work of course - even some "over the top"

As on alot of ELP album - Game time is a fun song...

I am also listening to ELP "In the Hot Seat" - given to me by a good friend - I am learning it - I like it - but I like alot by ELP - even Love Beach - which has that fantastic song, Memoirs of an Officer & a Gentleman".

Regards from Texas,
Ted

Re: What CD's Are you Playing RIght Now? Top 5

I've been playing some Cds by a band called Ra. I found them on Myspace and Rob Andrews sent me the disks. I just received his solo offering too and I'm just about to play it.

Rick....if you want to contact me I'll send you a link. I think they will make the perfect "Scale" play.

The albums are:

Ra - Ra Rising
Ra - Wake
Robert Andrews - The Host
