interesting. So it's something along the lines of a 4 string accoustic. I wonder how it's keyed/tuned...

not all of that link worked. Do a google search for piccolo bass and then click on images. The first image has a sound bite.

Piccolo Bass

OK. Gotcha. It's essentially a tenor guitar/alto bass guitar sorta thing. In the octave between the two instruments.

Thanks for the info!

Roger -Dot- Lee, Larnin' agin....

Who here has send a voice clip to Avain?

I'm still debating as to whether I should or not.

Guts! That's not the problem. It's been finding quiet time here to do it. That's been cut down now too since the brats have 1/2 days until their last day of school. After Wednesday, peace and quiet disappear until September.

T- actually, that was an erroneous post aimed at
the "blip" thread.

cool list, buddy!

i wasn't familiar w/ iona's music until recently,
made aware by a "favorite prog bands since 1990"
thread on....one of the competition's yahoo group.

i plan to give a good look asap.

something funny-
since i hadn't heard of iona, i did a google.

it turned up an american folk band of the
same name, which owns www.iona.com

i thought, "you have to be tripping! this
isn't prog!!"

i finally found the iona u.k.com site.
great stuff!

I own 2 Iona cds, 'Open Sky' and 'Journey to the Morn'. Both are excellent and I am going to get the box set off of their website, which has their first 3 cds and a special live cd. Since I didn't see you in the chatroom that day but knew you were listening, just to let you know all of the songs on my playlist were songs I never knew b4 AM, except the last song. The FZ 'Nanook Medley' I chose to finish with is because I had requested the the yellow snow medley be ripped as one song. So I think I had some influence over that. Anyway the moon has influenced me in so many ways in my life and none of them bad.
