To put the record straight.......

We played American Football here years before the NFL set up their tournie with Barcelona, Scottish Claymores, Rhine Fire et al.

I remember seeing the London Ravens play in Windsor Great park in the 1980s.

Check out this site and see how many British clubs there have been over the years.

http://www.britballnow.co.uk/History...y%20index.html

I'm not saying they could have put up much of a fight against the NFL teams but a few, esp. London Ravens in their hey day could take on a few of the US college sides.

Basketball: see baseball.
Now hang on a second. My IQ not only surpasses room temperature, but almost doubles it (and this in Farenheit) - and I love basketball. I'm not getting into this debate, because it's really a yawner, but I just wanted to put in a plug for the game.

Which begs the question, what is room temperature?

Depends if the IQ is measured in Fahrenheit. Mine's in Kelvin. Still trying to convert!

No,no, everybody's moving to Celsius, so 25.

Even in farenheit, everybody likes AC, so let's call it 60 max.

Jim, dumbing down Spaz, against his wishes...

Heh, I'd love to see you got up to Shaq, Drik Nowitski, or Karl Malone and tell them their game was girlie

I'd love to see you do that too.

Seriously (for once), basketball is a very physical, sweat-inducing sport. I just don't like it, largely because I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a basketball were I on the inside and about 5 feet away.

Roger -Dot- Lee, and I ain't kiddin' about that.

I use to like Malone until he joined the Lakers. I hate the Lakers. I'm a Celtic till I die. Yes, we've had crap since Larry retired, but if the Red Sox can get to the World Series...

PS, I'm a right-winger too.

How do you do that? I can't fly very well even when I use both wings.
