Is number 3 Adrian Belew - Big electric cat?
Horray for Jim... Edison's company is GE and it
is a BIG company.

4- Jim
3 - moses

There's no time limit here, you're fine!

Maybe I'll get the last one to mess up someone later
Sheesh... do I have to underline and italicize all of the clues...

D'oh!!!!!!

I hope I'm right but...........

#2 - Two Jiggers of Scotch just smacks of:

Triumvirat - Illusions on a DOUBLE DIMPLE.

"Hello, I'd like a Double Dimple
Good and strong"

If this is wrong then I'm giving up and throwing in the towel.

Great question VAX. This has caused more thinking and faffing than any quezzie posed so far.

Nice one man!!!!

YEAH!!! ... and I figured this was an easy one.

Even if you didn't know Dimple was a scotch (Haig and Haig in their Pinch bottles) the two jiggers (a double) should have been easy.

4 - Jim
3 - moses
1 - Keith

Two left to go...

No answer here

I just thought I'd post where we are with this to keep folks up to date:

1. saliva sanitation
2. two jiggers of scotch - ILLUSIONS ON A DOUBLE DIMPLE
3. Edison's company pet - BIG ELECTRIC CAT
4. sacrosanct annal darkness - BITTER SUITE
5. repeated momento theft - EXCUSE ME
6. settled alientated - ENDLESS ENIGMA
7. dark azure timepiece
8. tercentenary expiration - THE NIGHT WATCH
9. any departing comments? - SUMMER OF '68
10. everyone genuflected - CAN-UTILITY AND THE COASTLINERS

Two more.... I'm pretty well stumped at the moment.

Funny you should mention going out of your mind.

The answer to number 7 is a song about that very same subject -- in fact, quite insane.
This song is by a UK artist/group from 1968.
I saw this artist/group perform at the "Theatre of Living Arts" in Philadelphia 7-May-2002.

The answer to number 1 is a US band.
In fact, this band once came down from an acid trip to perform when I first saw them in 1978.
The answer is also from a 1978 release by this band.

hint

Since VAX threw the hint, I guess I have no choice but to respond. Had to look it up though, just to be sure.

Procol Harum - Shine On Brightly
"My Prussian-blue electric clock..."

should be the answer for #7.

One more. Hints please!

Score one more for moses whose head is probably bleeding from the blunt trauma of the clues I've hit him with.

Again, thanks for the TD live.

wait!

VAX this is to break the tie.

Please repost the last one with the existing hints to let Moses and Jim duke it out.

Hint: when you do these, please try to replay all of the hints, it's easier for us mortals.

Excitement!

It's not Tom Sawyer, not Two Fingers, it's a US band, acid trip, 1978, a song on the moon

are they the clues?

and, "supplicate for *its* cessation" is a hint for the subsequent line in the song

Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! I think I got it.....

Crack the Sky-Nuclear Apathy

"When they spit, do you wash their floors
And pray that they don't spit no more"

Never do that again VAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you're going to have to go for a tie breaker now.

Christ! I've got a headache now.

OK, I take your word for it. Wow I must be really off.

Strangely, I would have thought you'd be the one to answer for at least this one.

So, is a tie breaker in need or should we just let
moses and Jim duke it out amongst themselves?
