Two questions - 1) what's the difference between "one of my favorites" and "one of their best"? Whose standards determine their best? If its one of your favorites, that's cool, you don't need to qualify it. No need to "troll". It's just that you throw yourself open to criticism when you're critical of others' favorites.

2) If Atom Heart Mother is a bit disjointed, doesn't that inherently mean it's really a bunch of songs thrown together under the disguise of one long tune? Maybe that's one that could be cut down a little.
"Chinese Water Torture" - I wish I'd thought of saying that! Yeah, maybe 5 minutes would be cutting it short. Maybe I'll listen with a stopwatch and see if I can get 10 good minutes out of it (tongue firmly in cheek.)

Difference between favorite and best - I could make an argument that musically speaking (compositionally, difficulty in playing, etc) Echoes is a BETTER piece of music than Learning To Fly - but I still prefer LTF. "Best" is still, of course, subjective, but an attempt to objectify it can be made. "Favorite" is impossible to make objective. But then, that's the reason for the troll - to hear others defend their favorite, or to criticize mine. It's almost always an interesting discussion, even if it ultimately goes nowhere (not unlike Echoes, coincidentally.)

AHM - a series of tunes strung together? perhaps - but I still prefer listening to it than Echoes. I don't get bored, nor am I tempted to scream listening to it.
