I don't think new members need to search the boards. This forum isn't the easiest to find stuff. I can't even find my old shows if I didn't have them written down.

Such a sticky thread, an FAQ, mentioned by Spaz would probably be a good idea. It could also contain general pointers to some of the most interesting and valuable threads on these forums.
