Jan 26 - I Wanna Be Sedated
Air released their first album, Moon Safari, in '98 after a successful string of singles in France. Instead of looking towards the current dance trends, they combined euro-pop sounds with older synth sounds to make a very accessible, poppy, but still interesting album.
Air - Moon Safari (@ Allmusic.com) You Go Now is the second child of former Dream Theater keyboardist Kevin Moore's group Chroma Key. Kevin approaches techno here while still keeping himself grounded in the same proggy sound of the first album, Dead Air For Radios. Chroma Key - You Go Now(@ Allmusic.com) Mostly instrumental, complex, and subdued, Brian Eno's third album Another Green World ('75) marked his high point in the 70s. Mixing collaborators like Phil Collins and Robert Fripp, he approached a sound of perfection in moody yet subtle and effectively produced prog. Brian Eno - Another Green World(@ Allmusic.com) While touring in '74, Pink Floyd played with the current working version of Wish You Were Here. After getting bootlegged numerous times while playing Dark Side of the Moon (then Eclipse), you'd think they would have been a bit more cautious. This is a piece of their first show on june, 22 1974 in Colmar, France. What's most interesting about this is that it's the first performance of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Also included here is the first performance of Raving and Drooling, later renamed and rewritten as Sheep on Animals ('77). Finishing up this first set is a performance of Echoes. Another Green World is an excellent choice - fantastic, understated album.
