noob ???

so I'm relativly new to this genre of music... who are the must listen to bands for someone new trying to acquaint themselves with this type of music?

Nearly everyone will have a different opinion on that one. Just listen to Aural Moon for a few days, you'll get the idea.

And take notes of what you like, then you request other songs by those bands and buy their CDs.

what do you like?

that would give us ideas.....for every artist you mention there may be 10-15 that you could branch to....then it grows like tentacles, and next thing you know you're swallowed whole in a sea of debt and domestic strife...

no really it's not like that.

thanks for the advice everyone... I've been listening on and off for the past week or so, and already have some favorites. I love this music... its of such a higher quality than the garbage you find on regular radio stations.

Glad you like it. Check out some other forums about bands and things. There's always the obvious bands like Jethro Tull, Yes etc. But i know we did one topic about must have bands that were not the norm. Like anything here is normal. Except KW
