AACplus, Winamp, iPod

As many others of us I am using Winamp to listen to AM and play the ripped CD's over home stereo system. In the new release of Winamp 5.21 they are promoting a new coding technology, AAC plus.

As I have ripped all my CD's with iTunes in AAC at 320 bps to use them for synchronisation with iPod and also play them over the home stereo (with Winamp), I made the test and ripped a CD with AACplus of Winamp, and I noted a significant improvement in quality listening over the home stereo in favor of AACplus.

But now it comes: iTunes (and iPod) are not compatible with this coding technology, although Apple is using it with Quicktime too.

Getting deeper into the matter I found this:

So, I guess, that this coding technology will soon become a standard for compression. I guess Sharc (to whom I wish all the best a a quick and full recovery) will be delighted to get into this matter, as this coding technology is also thought for 5.1 and 7.1 coding....

Now my question:
Does anybody have had expirience with AACplus before, does anybody know, if there is a plugin or similar to make iTunes and iPod compatible with AACplus?
