a silly little question

Since the last Quiz de Force by Mr. Dinosaur, we haven't had even a whiff of a quiz.

I think I may have scored highest, so I'll throw a question in.

On the May 8 Rickter Scale, I'll be doing an entire show on a band that is a prog icon.

The guitarist from this band has the same initials as the band.

Another clue or two available, but I doubt you may need them.

Please name the band and the guitarist.

could it be Gentle Giant's guitarist Gary Green? If its right, not bad for someone that owns none of their records.

Not bad? Downright amazing!

(An additional clue would have been to invoke the name Gordon Giltrap)

Although you're not in prime Giant country I have a feeling I may be asked to send you some Giant after the airing

Between this and the two OK football players drafted by the Ravens, it truly is a Teerminator weekend!

Gary Green was on Eddie Jobson's Zinc record (Spaz let's not start that again )...

Sharc if that's the one you mean...that ain't metal. I own it. Not even CLOSE to metal . If it's not the one, enlighten me.
