Computer people, Help Me Please...

If you are good with computers, please help me do something. I've somehow gotten a program on my computer called PurityScan. My SpyHunter keeps finding it and deleting it, but it always restores itself somehow on rebooting. It generates pop up ads all the dang time. Anyone know how to totally get rid of it? Please help. Thanks.

My SpyHunter program says this about PurityScan. I know it's poor grammer....

PurityScan is a program that scans your computer for objectionable Adult Content, then permits you to eliminate it. Sadly, its an excellent idea, but it installs Adware instead. You are allowed opt out of their e-mail list, but they don't know is to tell you is that the install file copies itself, and goes on startup. You will get a pop-up every 3 minutes or less. The true file was called sear1.exe, but they have changed it to setup.exe. This is usual file name, and if found, check that file before eliminating it. http://www.softsecurity.com

Adware

Have you tried Ad Aware? Look at http://www.lavasoft.nu/support/download/#free and see if that helps your problem. It offers a setting where it will scan your computer and remove spyware before anything actually starts up. It's free.

I also take it you've tried uninstalling PurityScan from the add/remove programs thing in Control Panel?

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

I found the following:

Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove PurityScan manually. Please notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If Bazooka still detects PurityScan after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.
Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)
Browse to the key:
'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'
In the right pane, delete the value called 'ContentService', if it exists.
Exit the registry editor.
Restart your computer.
Delete the following files and folders:
%SystemDir%\winservn.exe
%ProgramsDir%\PurityScan\
Note: %SystemDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).
Note: %ProgramsDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Program Files.

It doesn't exist Bob. there are five values there: (Default), Aida, MoneyAgent, MSMSGS, WAPI.

That make any sense?

If it doesn't exist, I would just follow the rest of the instructions. Delete winservn.exe and the PurityScan directory and see if that works.
