help a novice out...

I have some really good pictures to post but many were sent to me in large sizes. When I try to reduce using the "attributes" function, it chops off the pics disproportionately.

I've been working with the Ray Weston/ Matthew Parmenter/ Tom Gagliardi picture but I'm getting nowhere.

I'm sure it's something simple...and it's certainly not my expertise.

Help?

are you using a image program? like IrfanView? I don't know much about Windoze software, but I've heard that is a good one.

I only wish I had suggestions. The only way I know how to do that is to use some Unix based utilities that will resize. Part of the problem is that I have zero decimal zero knowledge of how to get them to work. I could probably program a utility with the jpeg library that would do it, but that info likely wouldn't do much good, since a) I don't program for windows, and b) you likely don't have access to a Unix box.
