Show 23 - New Moon Part "Deux"

Trying feverishly to catch up on the new adds, after this week I may not feature new Moon until May. I think there was even an add this week!

Some good stuff here. I've never heard any of these songs until last week:

1) Fuchsia - A Tiny Book - Brilliant! Very British, very rustic. From 1971. I like this one a lot.

2) Rousseau - Winter's Tale - A pleasant instumental.

3) The Magic Elf - Godspeed - A rocking almost metallish tune. Picked this to quiet any complaints that I never play any Godspeed!

4) Forever Einstein - It's Almost....(too long to finish here) - An 80's new-wave sound. Not what I think of prog as, but OK. A lot of their titles are very amusing.

5) Galahad - Exorcising Demons - Reminiscent of early Marillion, but with even more dynamics. This is a powerhouse of a song. Disturbing lyrics (I'll rip out your tiny heart et al).

6) Kaos Moon - Say To Me - A sensitive tune, and lyrically beautiful. A nice contrast to the last tune.

7) Grobschnitt - Sun Trip

Get out the bong and the black lights! More like acid trip, if you ask me. Seventeen minutes, then they decide to really rock out for the last 20 seconds.

8) Kingsley Durant - Domains - SAM picked out this tune today, must be prescient. Acoustic guitar piece.

9) Machine & The Synergetic Nuts - M-B - This one's got some spunk! Would make an excellent secret agent theme.

10) Retroheads - Dreams - A weird understated sound to this one.

11) Stewart Copeland - Brazzaville - World sound, and as usual, great percussion.

12) Bob's Your Monster - Thirteenage - A tweener, very poppy.

13) Motoi Sakuraba - Persistance of Hope - Stately, keyboard dominated. Very well written.

14) East of Eden - Bradshaw The Bison Hunter - Just a jam. No lyrics, so I assume this song describes a football game (Steelers vs. Bills)

15) Patrick Moraz - Stressless - Is there such a thing? Nice percussion, carries the tune.

16) Billy Mahonie - Red Crow - Guitar, no leads, fairly basic, but fun.

17) Stomu Yamashta - Air Over, Crossing The Line - Mellow and airy. Fewer carbs, too!

18) Toubabou - J'Freak Assez - I think this is a Sean band. More percussion! What a tune. Dance away!

19) Steve Unruh - Song to the Sky - A lot of his stuff was added, so I picked the long tune.

20) Gary Willis - Do The Math - Man, I hate that saying. But I like this song.

21) Jean-Pierre Alarcen - Nationale 20 - Like early RTF, with a lot of keys.

22) Galleon - Fall Of Fame - Galleon is a band like Arena, where I never gave them much thought. I have to rethink this. I either got lucky picking this one or all their tunes are great. This is the best tune I've heard in a long time.

If you like these, try some more out sometime!
