Requests???

Often, we get pretty busy and we don't have a lot of time to coordinate a full blown theme show. So we usually take the time to pick some random tracks that we feel are still representative of our show.

But I personally think it is kind of a waste of our collections if they aren't utilized in a way to help maximize our listener's experiences. So I figured we could set up a "request" thread. Once we would have enough requests, we can play them the next time we do a non-themed show.

Currently Alex Siufy and I (Sean "Cozy" Powell) are the main DJs for Gnosis Radio. You can view our ratings/collection on Gnosis here:

Just click "view X's ratings" button. The ratings are listed in order from highest rated (15) to lowest rated (1). You can also go to the Gnosis search page and click on "Individual Raters", select one of us, and filter out entries by country or year.

We will consider all requests, but we strongly recommend you pick stuff you are not familiar/vaguely familiar with. Gnosis Radio strives to be educational, and full of music new to the ears of many, so it'd be best not to request fairly common musical artists for this endeavor.

nice page there cozy. While I don't agree with you about your dislike for purposeful dissonance (I LOVE Don Caballero's early stuff), I am totally 100% in agreement about that "prog that tries too hard to be prog" remark. I'd like to add that I really dislike clone bands - bands that try too hard to be other bands. For instance, Citizen Cain and The Watch seem like they just want to BE early Genesis. Hey! Get an original sound!

I could be here all day....love the rating system. Don't agree with a lot, but the idea is really cool.

Yeah, I had the same problem as Rick. How do we make requests? All in all, I think you're doing a great show. I think all the shows on AM are good, except mine. It sucks.
