A quick primer on French pronunciation: if there's no accent over the 'e', then don't change the pronunciation to 'a', it's just a silent 'e'. So 'barque' is just pronounced 'bark', like our adopted word 'clique' is pronounced 'click'.

Une barque sur l'ocean = oon bark sir loh-say-ohn

That's about as close as I can get at this level. Oh, and 'une barque' is a small boat.
