Interesting. Some loose notes:
- In most cases the quality of the MP3 you get out of the internets is lower than what you get from a CD;
- Many titles are not available for sale at any price;
- A price tag of 40 € for a good prog-rock CD is not unusual;
- Professional musicians I know get less than 1 € / per record sold, even those that sell over 10 000 copies per LP;
- The quality of the music proped up by the media today is below the minimum treshold to appeal to an average human;
- More than half of the CD I buy were recorded before I was born.
And finally:
no internet download if free. All internet traffic implies a cash flow to an internet provider company.
