Peters Gabriel and Hamill were never members of the same band, a I clarified in my above post. However, since no one seems interested in this question, I'll just give it to Bob Lentil and put the answer below:

Gil Lavis was Squeeze's drummer for the majority of their albums. Before that, he worked as a touring drummer with Chuck Berry, according to AMG. Paul Carrack was a member of Squeeze for two albums, "East Side Story" and "Some Fantastic Place." After ESS, he went on to sing for M&TM. I just found it interesting that two bands that are miles apart on the style chart could be linked with only a few steps. Ask away, Bob, but I think I just proved the "six degress of Proggin' Bacon" has run its course, especially when there are so many technically correct answers!
