Three CD's this week, one old, one somewhat old, and one new...with an old-style prog sound.
Wishbone Ash - "Argus" (1972)
1972 may be the finest year for music ever, and this is one of the finest rock records of all time. I find it not prog, but I also find it incredible. Brings back memories for those who were aware at that time, and for youngins like me, a taste of what we missed.

Kraan - "Tournee" (1980)
My de facto musical director and dear friend Jeff sent me this CD...a live release from 1980. Almost as good as Kraan-Live from a few years prior. It only took me 25 years after this to finally see them

, another glimpse of what was. Just love Helmut Hattler's bass lines...

Magic Pie - "Motions of Desire" (2005)
Not going to add much more than I already gushed on the Rosfest thread. For me, this rivals "Mimi's Magic Moment" for the best disc I've heard since Discipline's "Unfolded Like Staircase".
The choruses in "Change" and "Full Circle Poetry" are Chicago-like and simply unforgettable. What vocal power from the band, and stellar songwriting by guitarist Kim Stenberg.
