and a little bit of Moses.....
This week I'm ceding control of the song selection (let's call it arranging instead of composing) and playing some songs suggested by our esteemed and respected (even if Counterparts isn't on the Moon

) Owner, Program Director, and guiding light, Jim Brennan.
These tunes have a connection, I think they're all PITP (Prog In the Park?) bands. I'll find the thread post and link it here.
The final four tunes are from Moses, who's been singing (or at least pretending to sing) the praises of Umphrey's McGee, a very interesting band who had flashes of Hornsby, Dregs, the Dead, with humor and killer fusion sensibilities. They can stop on a dime and pick it up too.
Here we go....
Karcius - Kunide
Karcius - Bois Ta Musique
Red Sand - Blame
Red Sand - Cradle
Navigator - Sword of Endeavor
Navigator - Overload
Nathan Mahl - Call To Arms
Guy Le Blanc - Life On the Blade
Guy Le Blanc - One Sky
Frogg Cafe - Fortunate Observer of Time
Frogg Cafe - You're Still Sleeping
Frogg Cafe - Abyss Of Dissension
and,
Helmet of Gnats -
Yesterday's Brain
Almost Babylon
Chimps In Space
Chinese Leftovers
Crumbs
Lesser Beings
Misfit Toys
I think this JB guy has a future in radio.....
from Moses (who has a cool as hell show on Prog Positivity called "The Fusion Reactor")........
Umphrey's McGee -
Miss Tinkle's Overture
Hurt Bird Bath
Hangover
Mulche's Odyssey
I was actually standing in line to see them last weekend, but couldn't hang...I know I missed a great show...but I'll get them next time.
Thanks to Jim and Moses for supplying the great tuneage...now to rest my aching still broken finger....
