Hello!

This week I’ll be going back to the “Time Capsule”. The Time Capsule shows will focus on various music all released in a particular year. However, generally I will be avoiding some of the more obvious selections and focusing on a mix of somewhat obscure music from that time or perhaps just some things you’ve forgotten about, hoping that even experienced listeners will find something new of interest.

So what was going on in 2000? Was it such a long time ago? With the new internet age and resurgence of lots of great new music, it becomes easy to forget what just came out a few years ago. There were many 90s bands releasing some of their prime work. Nearfest had just moved to Zoellner hall for the first time to play host to the likes of Transatlantic, Thinking Plague and the much anticipated reunion of Happy The Man. It’s odd to think they’ve been back together for five years now!
