I purchased an Archos MP3 player for my son 2 years ago. A lot of money for a lot of junk.
The iPod can play AAC encoded files. Better quality audio for much less space...
There are also many more add-on products available for the iPod. I got one of the Bose SoundDocks. Fantastic sound from such a small unit. Dr. Robert Bose if a genius in the acoustic engineering dept.
