Re: King Crimson island
Just a "If Spaz ran the show" thing, but I've always thought if an album had two covers, and I were adding them to the tags, I'd alternate. For example, I'd do even tracks with Cover A and odd tracks with Cover B, or "Side A" and "Side B," etc. It's more work, but it's cool.
I'm not lobbying for it, because it's an immaterial thing. |

From the delightful Wikipedia:
"The original U.K. and European cover depicts the Trifid Nebula in Sagittarius. The original U.S. and Canadian album cover (as released by Atlantic Records) was a Peter Sinfield painting of off-white with coloured "islands". This was used as an internal gatefold sleeve in the U.K. When the King Crimson catalog was re-issued by EG, they standardised on the "Trifid Nebula" cover world-wide.The original U.K. and European cover depicts the Trifid Nebula in Sagittarius. I've only ever seen the Trifid Nebula cover. |
