Latest Musical Additions to Library

Here's an opportunity to voice your cheers of glee and glad tidings for the gifts we have received in the latest uploads:

Hope this add is worth the SAM reboot it caused:

Dean De Benedictis - Salvaging The Past
Delta Cyphei Project - Virtual World
Al DiMeola - Consequence Of Chaos
Expedition Delta - Expedition Delta
Fairport Convention - Liege & Lief
Galahad - Empires Never Last
Green Isac - Etnotronica
David Helping & Jon Jenkins - Treasure
Jon Jenkins - Beyond City Light
Lana Lane - Red Planet Boulevard
Might Could - Wood Knot
Moongarden - Songs From The Lighthouse
Thanatopsis - Anatomize
The Gourishankar - Close Grip
Steve Unruh - The Great Divide (I (pdj)forgot to mention this one originally)

Pretty wide variety there - something for everyone:rawk:

The forum thread for announcing new additions was read-only for good reason. If there's going to be thread copies, I'll look into how to set up the equivalent of cross-posting.

I thought read-only was put on so that we could have a continuous stream of what was added, when. And of course, not to have comments inside the update lists. That's a good reason.

I've seen updates listed on the main page at "other" stations. But it works fine here in the forums.

If Dale copies the additions once does that take up too much space? Just asking (I try not quote the whole post for this reason). If so, I'm sure that all we need to do then is to say, "hey did you see the new additions"? That would be one of a few alternatives.

Seems like cross posting is a lot of trouble.

It would be great to be able to "cross-post" comments without having to copy the original post. Can you just embed a Link to the post somehow so they can look at the specific posted page of the dated addition announcement Jim posts? Trouble with the original post is it is soooooo long it takes a while to get to that last page to see what's actually been newly added.

2ndly, since no comments are allowed to the original sticky it disappears quickly from the home page so many people miss seeing it unless a new thread is made to take note of it. Hence, my actions.

I think new additions to the library are a big deal to folks. They don't always catch the original posting by being out of touch a few days.

My personal opinion is that posting to the additions thread wasn't allowed solely to prevent that specific thread from being even more bloated than it already is.

I think that forum discussion of additions is a good thing.

I may throw together a real simple page for additions that can be linked to from the main page - I'll just need Vaxman to add it to the appropriate place on the hosting computer, and hopefully give me ftp access to update it as needed. I have another idea if that's a security issue...
