Interzone - July 18, 2006 - Time Capsule VIII - 1982

Okay, no Asia....I promise. But this week the "Time Capsule" returns and, this year, the music will all focus on the year of 1982. While not the deepest years for progressive rock and other music, there's still some interesting gems recorded that year.

East-Huseg-(Huseg) -1982-Hungary
East-Ablakok-(Huseg) -1982-Hungary

Anyone's Daughter-La La-(In Blau)-1982-Germany
Nuance-Cauchemardise-(Il est une Legende) -1982-France
Bi Kyo Ran-Monologue-(Bi Kyo Ran)-1982-Japan
Metamorfosis-Papallones I Elefants-(Papallones I Elefants) -1982-Spain
Metamorfosis-Un Joc Als Cinc Anys-(Papallones I Elefants)-1982-Spain
Art Zoyd-Et Avec Votre Esprit-(Phase IV) -1982-France
Iskander-Winterhagen 1-4-(Boheme)-1982-Germany
Von Zamla-Doppler-(Zamlaranamma)-1982-Various
Von Zamla-Ten Tango-(Zamlaranamma)-1982-Various
Kenso-Sayonara Progressive-(II)-1982-Japan

I'm glad there's no Asia, because it would make me Wetton my pants, get me Downes in the dumps, and wondering Howe the hell I ever listened to that crapola in college! (and I liked it!):jawdrop:

I look forward to the Interzone set lists...75-80% I don't know which makes it fun. 1982 may not have been a deep year, but save for the Kenso and Rush, you got me again! :vaxman:

Ha!

Yeah, there's some obscure items this week, 3 of which have never been on CD. If you're a Camel fan though, several of the groups have that Camel-symph thing going, and Bi Kyo Ran fits in with 80s Crim.

Nice wordplay Rick, I'll admit plugging Palmer was next to impossible though.

As for the show, we'll not my cup of tea I guess, sorry Cozy. :)

That's okay. But you don't mind if I force you to listen anyway? ;)
