Dream Theater at Metropolis in Montreal

It was "A Night With Dream Theater", almost 3 hours of DT music, also known as hell for many Aural Moon listeners. But for this listener witnessing the guitar mastery of John Petrucci was worth the price of admission alone(unfortunately James Labrie's singing almost completely offset this). I brought along my kids and their friends and we had a blast rocking to some of the more metal songs like Endless Sacrifice, especially when James would leave the stage to the musicians. Say what you will about DT but these guys can play their instruments!

That first sentence is priceless!

I like Myung on bass, he's a monster. I won't see them anymore, their TOO good at their instruments!

Glad you're sharing this with the kids. Dad may still be a dork in their eyes but we know better.

Zvinki, see my show thread.....

Excellent review Zvinki. Reminds me of my 50th B'day party when all my nieces and nephews were worried that Uncle Keith was having an epileptic seizure to "Brainstorm". :haha:

Great review Z. I saw DT once at the NY State Fair and they completely blew me away.......I have to agree about Labrie.....thankfully, he was off the stage more than on it so it was bearable. Rick is right too, aren't we all dorks in our childrens eyes? If only they knew that we are teaching them the finer things in life. Have lines my two teens up to see Queensryche, as well as my wife. Might as well totally confuse them with Dads musical tastes.:smirk:
