Bjork
First, notice that this is in the discussion forum, not the suggestions forum. We haven't gotten that far yet.
I just heard Kate Bush, then three songs later Enya. I'm not complaining or anything. I'm just wondering, if they make the progressive/art cut, how about Bjork? I think everything she's done after her first album is more progressive than anything by Bush or Enya. So, not a suggestion as such, just a discussion: what do AMers think of Bjork? |

Having said that, however, I'm always one to give it a shot. What I HAVE heard of Bjork has shown some promise. I'd be willing to make some room in the database. Yeah, count me as a "Willing to give 'em a rip" category. Roger -dot- Lee |
Bjork....super. I play "Debut" a lot. That's the first one after the sugarcubes..is it the one you're referring to, spaz? I don't know what progressive is and isn't anymore, but bjork isn't afraid to be honest in her music and tries out some quirky innovative things, and it works for me.

it's worth a shot. I own one Sugarcubes album (are there more?) but no Bjork solo; I like it, but for some reason, Bjork strikes me as less progressive than Kate or Enya. I'm willing to change my mind on that one though. more comments?

Agree with Jim, but.....
Maybe there should be a "satellite" Moon for all of these great non-prog bands!!!!

good place to check
Here's a good place to get some good choices of her solo stuff. This site has the videos to every Bjork single. Even if you hate to her music, you should still watch her videos. They are strangly amazing.
