A new competition.

I thought it about time we had a new competition as we haven't had one since the Birthday Party.

The first prize is a night out with me in London and the second prize is two nights out with me in London...................no seriously, the prize is a copy of Azureth's album "Yesterday's Future, Tomorrow's Past".

Now for the question:

How much do I Waye....I mean Weigh?

If there's a tie I'll set a tie breaker.

Answers posted on this thread please and the competition closes on 26th November 2004.

Rick and Roll 11-12-2004 08:11 AM

several questions

1) Horizontially or upright?

2) How tall are you?

3) Some of us have never seen you. Are you sure you're not a 60 year-old female?

4) Will this be closest w/o going over? That makes it more interesting.

5) At what point...right now?

6) Does this thread make me look fat?

Can't you just take a guess?

I haven't changed that much since my photo in the gallery.

I will weigh myself as soon as the competition closes and that will be the weight that I will go for. Over/Under it doesn't matter.

Have a go.

Of course I can. But some of those factors are important, and others I am just being a total smart-ass.

Well I'll guess you are 6'3". Height is the most impt factor for me....oh well...let's see -

232. The official guess.

Now do I convert this to dollars?

Yesspaz 11-12-2004 05:27 PM

I'ma guess 198.

RogorMortis 11-13-2004 03:57 AM

DO really need to know the truth Keith?

I have the disadvantage of having seen you and you are bigger than me.

I'm overweight so that means you are in the region of 120 kilos

Lbs/Kilos I'll do the conversion at the end.

QuantumJo 11-13-2004 03:41 PM

You're on Jim..........I'm going into Rick mode now. :D Is that a pint drunk at a gig in plastic glasses or in a pub with glass ones?

What the hell........I'll just take the scales out with me tonight and weigh it up. The research will be fun anyway. :)

podakayne 11-14-2004 03:59 PM

my guess

242 and i don't know why. i'm thinking less but i've never been good at this anyway.

pub pints with glass glasses - now I'm curious...

Steady Stan 11-20-2004 11:03 PM

Weigh to go, Keith!

Finally a quiz that I can come up with an answer....

256. Pounds, not kilos, or stones, or metric tons. :p

moses 11-22-2004 12:24 PM

Since we're guessing...

I'll go with 190 lbs.

dinosaur 11-22-2004 02:28 PM

I'll guess your mass at 7.0 slugs.
That's about 37 pounds on the moon.

Roger -Dot- Lee 11-22-2004 10:03 PM

OK. I'm going to take a wild swing at this.

220 lbs.

Bob Lentil 11-24-2004 07:03 PM

260 lbs.

KeithieW 11-28-2004 03:57 AM

And the winner is............................

On the scales today I weighed 17 stones 4 pounds/110kg.

That works out at 242 pounds.

Amazingly someone was spot on and that someone is:

PODA

Poda and I have never met so she obviously has a good eye for...........errrrrrr, Fat Guys.

Azureth CD winging it's way to you.

Another stupid competition after christmas when I'll no doubt have lots of new prizes to give away.

Rick and Roll 11-28-2004 11:12 AM

damn I was close...

Nice job Poda!

podakayne 11-28-2004 04:36 PM

Hmmmmm...I guessed 232...and I'm not near that myself....so I am curious how that got to be me....

Oh, that's easy. She mistakenly added her age to your weight and came up with 260!

Anyone can see that!

Roger -Dot- Lee, We're all human, afterall...

That's a good guess and last month it would have been right on the money!....but I recently lost 15 lbs.

Reminds me of something I heard Jay Leno say a few years ago...he said that Johnny Depp lost 35 lbs...he dumped Kate Moss
:D

mossy 11-28-2004 07:21 PM

Congratulations Poda!!!

That's amazing...right on the money.

I disqualified myself having hugged the stuffing out of Keithie a few weeks ago. Would never have guessed, anyway.

progdirjim 11-29-2004 12:00 PM

I still want to know the conversion rate on my pints guess - and that's not sour grapes. (I already own the Azureth CD anyway!)
:D

RogorMortis 11-30-2004 02:38 AM

Cheat!

Keith you-ve lost weight since I saw you last - and I need to lose weight now - damn.

Great shot Poda

Indeed I have RM. It's amazing what a diet of vegetables and fruit can do.........in lots of ways. I've lost weight but I've also lost friends. They say they'll be back when the gale force winds have stopped. Watch out Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

podakayne 11-30-2004 10:57 PM

re: all

sorry rick, i could have sworn it was you who said 260.

and i didn't mean to imply you were in the neighborhood of 260, not at your height(my dad was as tall as keithie-but he never got past 175, string bean)....as for my age plus your weight—just how old am i?...wait dont' answer that, you've got the memory of an elephant.

and keithie i'm sure mossy did squeeze a bit of stuffin outta you. but i'm sure most of us could spare a stone or two...okay i'll speak for myself.

just be happy with what you have to be happy with what you have to be happy with.

still glad i won-this was fun:p

Now you're comparing me to an elephant?

Gee thanks!:D

mossy 11-30-2004 11:30 PM

hmmm...maybe it was the wrong choice of words. I certainly didn't imply K had stuffing to squeeze. It's just my way of saying I probably hugged him too tight and the poor man was gasping for air. The day I don't have an inch to pinch is the day I'll say anyone has too much stuffing. :D
