Jim, I'm guessing you meant #4 to be Annie Haslam not #6 and #7 is indeed Bernado. Mr Anderson does feature but is NOT #8. Fish is wrong but I see where you're coming from.

1) Added Hydrogen by mistake for the third album but still sounded the same.
2) Angel after decrease. - Peter Gabriel
3) Vicious dean comes about fruit.
4) This songbirds got sheep? Sounds like it! - Annie Haslam
5) Kith and Kin.
6) Moved away to start a different job.
7) Sings like he's just got off a long journey by air. - Bernado Lanzatti
8) Maybe he should have been Swiss. No! There would be an eruption.
9) Dick and his ZX.

They are all to be found on AM.

Jon Anderson is #1. Steve Howe added for the third album...

KeithieW 01-22-2004 04:01 PM

Right answer wrong reason....but you get it anyway.

Actually the reason is that on "The Yes Album" he's listed as JoHn Anderson.......which sounds the same as Jon Anderson. How obscure is that one?:D

I have The Yes Album and never noticed the "h" in John! The third album is also the one Steve Howe replaced Peter Banks on; I thought H (symbol for hydrogen) owe (ow! meaning by mistake) was what you were referring to. If I was wrong on this one, I would have refused to guess Jon again - I mean, I could have gone through them one at a time until I got it right...

C'mon Rick, still time for a late surge!

KeithieW 01-22-2004 04:22 PM

Excellent!

Superb lateral thinking there Jim.......your mind is SHARP!!!!!

9) Dick and his ZX.

Come on Rick. One of them is from a favourite band of yours.

Rick and Roll 01-22-2004 08:14 PM

sorry..............

I've been very busy, I feel I'm letting you down. I'll tak a quick run later and I should have time Friday afternoon for one more try.

Speaking of Howe, you ever notice how Peter Banks looks just like Steve Howe on the front of "Time and a Word"?

Rick and Roll 01-22-2004 08:25 PM

I'm done

the only shots I have are Thijs Van Leer and Richard Sinclair for the last two.

Sometimes you just blank out - I've tried all I could......

Absolutely correct with the last two Rick.

van Leer is notable for his yodelling (Swiss) and focus recorded the track "Eruption"

Dick (abreviation for Richard) and Sinclair manufactured the popular, at the time, ZX znd ZX Spectrum home computers.

Jim 4 Rick 2

Of the other 3. One is an anagram type clue. One clue leads directly to a band and hence the singer in that band and the last clue when translated leads directly to a song title by this singer.

Give it another shot Rick. You can still win. :D

Rick and Roll 01-23-2004 06:54 AM

well

I'll guess John Wetton for Kith and Kin.

I suspected the Vicious dean was an anagram but it's not coming to me.

Have to come back to it later, need to make $$$.

progdirjim 01-23-2004 12:44 PM

is 6 David Bowie? Changes...
How about Kith and Kin = Ian Anderson.

The reason you gave for Bowie wasn't what I had in mind. Check the playlist for titles by bowie and you'll see what I meant.

Jim 5 Rick 2

progdirjim 01-24-2004 12:29 AM

hah!

Like Rick, I knew #3 was an anagram. Unlike Rick, I finally got it, and the whole reference. Dave Cousins from that fruity band, the STRAWBerryS.

and I think you had one too many I's and one too few S's.

Still curious about friends and family...

Ooops Sorry about that Jim.......you get an extra 1/4/point for that.

1) Added Hydrogen by mistake for the third album but still sounded the same. - Jo(h)n Anderson.
2) Angel after decrease. - Peter Gabriel
3) Vicious dean comes about fruit. - Dave Cousins (or it would be if I'd got the letters right)
4) This songbirds got sheep? Sounds like it! - Annie Haslam
5) Kith and Kin.
6) Moved away to start a different job. - David Bowie
7) Sings like he's just got off a long journey by air. - Bernado Lanzatti

9) Dick and his ZX. - Richard Sinclair

As for the last one. What did you say Jim? Friends and WHAT?

Jim 6.25 Rick 2

Rick and Roll 01-24-2004 08:58 PM

Family

I thought Wetton sang with them but I cheated and looked on the Web. If it is the main guy from Family, then we're done.

I got smoked!

progdirjim 01-24-2004 11:13 PM

Maybe you got "smoked", but I was lucky - I got two right for the wrong reason. For the next question, I'm going to try to come up with something totally new, hopefully it won't take long...

KeithieW 01-25-2004 03:19 AM

Take it away Jim......

I was thinkig "Roger Chapman" for Kith and Kin.

Final listing:

1) Added Hydrogen by mistake for the third album but still sounded the same. - Jo(h)n Anderson.
2) Angel after decrease. - Peter Gabriel
3) Vicious dean comes about fruit. - Dave Cousins (or it would be if I'd got the letters right)
4) This songbirds got sheep? Sounds like it! - Annie Haslam
5) Kith and Kin.- Roger Chapman.
6) Moved away to start a different job. - David Bowie
7) Sings like he's just got off a long journey by air. - Bernado Lanzatti
8) Maybe he should have been Swiss. No! There would be an eruption. - Thijs van Leer
9) Dick and his ZX. - Richard Sinclair.

Jim 6.25 Rick 2 The ether 1.

Well done chaps.

progdirjim 01-26-2004 01:08 AM

Let's see if this works.

What two songs, on Aural Moon, would lead you to conclude that "Loving Is Nothing"?

Rick and Roll 01-26-2004 09:52 PM

Sterilize..

beep beep does not compute help I'm breaking up what does it mean illogical must sterilize.

Oh sorry, just kidding.

Two songs by diffrent artists?

progdirjim 01-26-2004 09:55 PM

KeithieW 01-27-2004 04:25 AM
