duh, the album is Citadel...

Rick and Roll 01-28-2005 07:12 AM

OK, let's see

Wow we got ourselves wrapped up in Starcastle, huh?

I get U, and Jim gets V (I'll cede the Starcastle...I only got 1/2).

K and R are still open.

K is Jim's and I'n not sure how far we are clue wise.

Let's review R:

If Will Smith made a movie about a U.S. President, what song might that be?

The movie is "I, Robot", which Jim got. But the song is NOT the Alan Parsons Project. It is by a band that is represented on the Moon, but this song, which is off their first record, is NOT on the Moon. I have played two songs by the band on my show, both live versions of songs on this fantastic first record. Did I mention it's NOT on the Moon? I'll give another hint in a day or two if needed.

I was going to throw a softball to moses and make "Umphrey's McGee" the U, but that's too easy:p

What the heck, I'll make it not so hard:

U - Kate Bush trapped at the North Pole?

(I can see your tawdry visions now......)

moses 01-28-2005 07:44 AM

R = Robots for Ronnie by Crack the Sky

Whew!

U = Utopia... no, that can't be right. Unwed Sailor? No...

Here's an odd clue for 'X' that is only tangentially related to prog. Otherwise it gets too easy to narrow down the possible answers, and that's not nearly as fun is it?;)

X.) Yes' Owner of a Lonely Heart is featured in a popular video game that shares most of its name with a film written, directed, and starred in by an Oscar winning director. That film was produced by a successful B-movie director/producer who also directed this film that begins with the letter 'X.'

I wish I would have thought of that. In an effort not to use another Rush tune, I could have come up with a long-winded clue that led to a movie of the same name.:) Unfortunately, I did not. Guess again.

(By the way, would you mind posting a personal review of that great movie, Xanadu?)

Weather Report was correct. Sorry if I missed that.

As for X, "Owner Of a Lonely Heart" is in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Ron Howard wrote, directed, and starred in a film called Grand Theft Auto back in 1977. Roger Corman produced that and a film called "X" aka "X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes."

Y.) Future visions - alone... (song title, but album is also part of the clue).
