No choices anymore - see the first post in this thread.

It's cool, it's just too dark....

I thought you were drunk last night and goofed around on us...

I don't remember what I voted for but it was certainly not this.

Avian it's awful, it's too dark , too much contrast and not using the screen width. You've gone off the plank here. It hurts my eyes as it too violent compared to the other pages one comes from. Expect a revolt :drdot:

Re: Favorite Forum Style?

well, I can live with it, but please adjust it to use the full screen width. please?

You just like it because you are a spaceman!

Holy crap, it's just a forum style. How can a dark forum hurt someone's eyes? Violent? I would think that the the contrast would make it easier to read, not harder.

I couldn't develop Olias any further, since its development has been abandoned by the author - too many changes were needed to bring it into the new vbulletin. Genesis Dark was OK, no real reason we couldn't switch to it instead of spacevision, but I thought i'd give this a try.

http://www.forumtemplates.com/vbulletin/ (check out space vision!)
http://www.forumthemes.com/products.php

We would do a bunch of customization, but let me know if any of these catch you eye.

I guess I missed this post back in September, oh well, probably too late now, but what the hell...
I thought the extremepixels "air" was pretty cool. The forumtemplates "Mystic Art" was pretty nice and easy on the eyes reading-wise. I get the moon theme, and it looks cool, but it is kinda hard to read FWIW.

With all due respect for the time and energy you put into improvements, Avian, I do find this hard on the eyes, particularly on the home monitor which is much darker than the one at work. Genesis Dark, although lacking the space theme, was easier to read and I must say I prefer it if given the choice.

This is the coolest forum style yet(space theme). I like it. what is so hard about white lettering on a dark background. I find it easy to read.

I don't wear glasses cause they make me look cool, that can't be done. I wear glasses in order to see ppl and to read. :headscrat

Re: Favorite Forum Style?

I find it more difficult. Right now I'm typing over the moon shadow in yellow. Now it's dark. Now it's light again. This is just a forum. Maybe all the pretty pictures can go in the background, and we'll all be happy.

On prior posts as you scroll down, there's no linear definition. The poster and message seem to run together.

But as Yorksvc says, "Adapt and Survive"...

is changing the width possible?

mossy 11-03-2006 08:17 PM

Re: Favorite Forum Style?

Avian, the screen I'm seeing is just totally black..no definition in shades or between posts. I know this is my home monitor prob, so that's that.

However, if the type were bolded white it would really help. As it is I find it difficult to read.

well, how-de-do! this is new!

I like the full-screen aspect. give me time to get used to the colors. :D

OK, maybe I'm missing something, but the pulldown menu seems to be MIA. Is it me, or did I do something (like show up again) that caused it to run away into the forest?
