Poth: Don't try visiting Pittsburgh without help from a native. It's built in the junction of two rivers, so it's built on a triangle and is really a huge mess! Also more bridges than you'd think would be necessary.

Pittsburgh: The most convoluted city in America?

there's a few places downtown that aren't quite so easy - Tribeca, the village, SoHo - but for such a large city, Manhattan is pretty easy. Compared to say, London, which looks as if Keithie himself laid it out after 27 pints...:haha: :deadhorse

the extreme bits of lower Manhatten do look like a Micro$oft programmer laid them out but it's not too diffficult to get about once you understand the layout --- and have a small pocket map. ;)

VAXman, If you're still on for tomorrow you can leave a message about time and place on this thread. If you can't make it (I get the feeling you live miles away) then please don't worry at all. I've already decided to come back to NY some time in the future. Anyway, have fun, Poth.

60 miles south of the city.

My son informed me that I need to pick him up at school and take him to work today. This also means I may need to pick him up. I'll ask him to see if he can find a ride home. I'll let you know a bit later.
