Anthony Phillips was guitarist with Genesis pre-Hackett. He put out a classic solo album called "The Geese and the Ghost". I've located a CD copy and will forward it to Jim as soon as it and a few other bits arrive. The Genesis fans on the moon are sure to love this.

Ooh, I've heard bits and pieces of this in the past. I'm looking forward to it, myself. I'll keep one and all posted as to when it gets stuffed into the database, if interested....

Haven't listened to it for say, 15 years. I think it's in a stack of records from a friend of mine who is moving. Maybe I'll pull it out. Remember it as sort of having a "rustic" feel, and certainly different from say "1984".

Geese and the Ghost is Ant Phillips Voyage of the Acolyte, imho.

Tracks: Sleepfall the Geese Fly West and Which Way the Wind Blows...I won't harp on, but they're a gift.

Thank you, vax!!

same here as Rick - haven't heard it in a decade or more, but it was getting near the top of the "to acquire" list - so thanks again, Vax...

I have every Ant Philips album mentioned here on vinyl and love 'em. There's another one that he released called "Sides" that has some wonderful tracks on esp. The song "I want your love" which some would say is a soppy love ballad (which it is) but I like it anyway.

I have alot of stuff too, I just haven't brought myself to part with any of it and send it to Jim so I've been scouring eBay and the discount/used record stores.... how repulsively materialistic of me.

Yes, Sides is a great album. 'I want your love' is indeed soppy but it's good sop.

Still haven't figured out how to cut and paste from previous posts so it's in that nice enhanced black print.

I've recieved Ant Phillips "Geese & Ghost", and I just have to say, what was I thinking for not picking this one up? I hadn't heard it in years, but how could I have forgotten how good it was? (I know, I'm an idiot.)

A great big THANK YOU to Vax for contributing it.
